Section 1. Applicable Products
------------------------------

The ESI file applies to the products below:

* SGD7S EtherCAT 100V standard models
* SGD7S EtherCAT 200V standard models
* SGD7S EtherCAT 200V FT81 models
* SGD7S EtherCAT 200V FT82 models

For the ESI file for products not listed above, check Yaskawa.com or contact Yaskawa Technical Support.


The ESI file contains device descriptions for the following firmware versions:

* FW version 7.04
* FW version 7.05
* FW version 8.03
* FW version 8.06
* FW version 8.13
* FW version 8.14
* FW version 8.19
* FW version 8.23

Section 2. Unsupported Firmware ESI Options
-------------------------------------------

If the FW version on the device is 6.01, either:

A) Request RMA from Yaskawa Repair group to update the firmware.
B) Request the ESI file from Yaskawa Motion Technical Support, being aware that FW 6.01 does not support field FW update.


If the FW version on the device is 8.00, either:

A) Request RMA from Yaskawa Repair group to update the firmware.
B) Request the ESI file from Yaskawa Motion Technical Support, being aware that FW 8.00 is not supported by Yaskawa America Inc. due to a major issue not disclosed.
C) Contact your Yaskawa sales representative if you would like more information about how to update the firmware.

Section 3. Applying The ESI File

For guidance on how to apply the necessary ESI file to a SERVOPACK in an EtherCAT master interface, refer to the Yaskawa.com document number AN.MTN.06.ETHERCAT.
